The first draft of Realms of Covens No. 2 was wrapped… uh… super early.
I’d mapped a deadline on my end for June 15. Between the massive re-write/mini-developmental edit of the first 50k words that resulted in me just flat out “yeeting” 30k words, and being back in my previous department at work, I figured giving myself a little more leeway to write than I used for a timeline with book 1 was ideal.
I was NOT expecting to churn out nearly 50k words in two weeks (three days were spent on a “writecation” before my spring sports season began). Then for the story to consume me for another two.
After a first round of edits, I shipped it off to my alpha team. Two of which have already given me some solid and great feedback. Once I receive the feedback from the others, I’ll make the adjustments as needed/where needed, do another round of edits on my end, then send to my beta team.
Not having No. 2 on my docket had opened the door for Realms of Covens No. 3.
It makes sense as ROC2 didn’t want to end. It could have easily rolled into three as a “Part 2” of book 2. But, Covens isn’t an epic. It was never meant to be, and why make it a duology when it’s best suited as a trilogy?
Act 1 of ROC3 is wrapped and Act 2 is well underway.
While the release date is unknown, I am exploring the possibility of a late 2025 release. It depends on what the availability is for my editor. So make sure you stay tuned (working on getting a newletter going for better updates ALLLLLL around) – you won’t want to miss anything with ROC3. Trust me.
ROC2 is still on for a Spring 2025 release.
If you’re not following me on Instagram, you should be. June is the official kick off of ROC2 teasers, including a title reveal – because it’s got a title again!
