Writing news: Pub Day!

This morning, with the help of the amazing Hayley Anderton, I surprise released my book, Daughters of Legianne.

The game of Ring-Around-the-Rosies with KDP and their lack of knowing what happened, or even how to remedy it drove me into a wall.

In my day job, March is always the month were I’m able to pause, regroup, and start building back up the collection of “spoons” I borrow ahead from my winter season. Winter is my most brutal season at work due to the logistics of games, playoffs, tournaments, etcetera, paired with how condensed playoffs and championships are compared to my other seasons.

My body was prepared to, as it has for the past 15 seasons, spend March in rest mode. NOT stress mode+.

I wasn’t sleeping, my stomach hated me, and it was trickling down into other areas of my life (LOTS of missed lifts in my training, to the point where we even paired that down to bare minimum). I couldn’t go on like that anymore, especially with my spring season just around the corner.

Today, April 3, is my paternal grandfather’s 101st birthday.

He passed away eight years ago after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

The storyteller, the writer, and the poet of our family, it’s clear where my passion for writing has come from. So it only seemed write that I, his “good little writer,” send my first book out into the world on his birthday.

It is available on Amazon in all formats here, and ebooks on all other platforms here.

It will be available in paperback and hardcover formats from all other retailers on April 16th (Ingram is holding me to the original release date).

AND, if you’re in Maine, all nine Sherman’s Maine Coast Book Shops will be stocking Daughters on its shelves!
