“When will pre-order be available for your book?”
WELL. About that…
When I had all of the formatting, publishing, marketing of my book land in my lap after the press closed I was going to use, I didn’t panic because I do some of my best work under extreme pressure. And two months to release day, that’s definitely extreme pressure.
I did my research. I took my notes. I talked to several other self-published authors.
I made a map that reflected all of the above.
Yet, in the path where those met the least resistance? I’ve been met with a brick wall.
That’s right, ‘Zon has something against my book and the curse of bad luck has been placed.
Which means, with less than a month left before my planned release date, I’m not even sure my book can be released ‘wide’ as I planned.
It started with KDP telling me I was unable to schedule my paperback for release. That’s prompted a two-week long back and forth with them trying to get it straightened out.
When I hoped this week would be the turn-around so that I can start getting things ready on IngramSpark since I have two local bookstores with multiple locations in my state interested in selling my book – I learned that I have that black cloud following me.
‘Zon canceled the pre-order for my Kindle version this morning.
Now it’s locked, and nothing can be done.
*sighs heavily*
